Since 2020 you’ve probably noticed a growing public art project - red heart-shaped signs popping up around our community’s homes, businesses and parks, imploring us to simply BE KIND. It’s a message that doesn’t go out of style and we’re thrilled to collaborate with our friends at Be Kind Ithaca and NAMI Finger Lakes to help spread the love. A portion of the proceeds from each bag will be donated to those worthy organizations.

This custom blend, a take on the classic velvety Mokka Java blend, is extra smooth with lingering chocolate and fruit undertones.

NAMI Finger Lakes' mission is to support and advocate for families and individuals impacted by mental illness. NAMI Finger Lakes is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.  We are a grassroots organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for all individuals and families whose lives are affected by mental illness and co-occurring disorders. NAMI advocates for access to services, treatment, support and research and is steadfast in its commitment to raise awareness and build a community of hope for all those in need.  We offer the kind of understanding and care that only those who have lived the experience of mental illness can provide.

Be Kind Ithaca was founded by Darrell Harrington at the beginning of the pandemic, when he felt we could all benefit from a little kindness. Be Kind Ithaca partners with many local organizations to help raise funds for their worthy causes including The Sophie Fund, Darrell started with a large Be Kind heart in his front yard. One of his neighbors, a local business owner, loved the simple message and asked if she could get a Be Kind heart. From there the message, and the hearts started to spread, throughout Ithaca and beyond. In a few short years, Darrell has made thousands of hearts, which have been shipped around the world.
